I'd like to wish all the wonderful readers of eyeliner on a cat a spectacular Halloween, and in the spirit of the season, I thought I'd share a few spooky photos from my past. Enjoy!
No self-respecting former goth girl doesn't have a graveyard photo shoot under her belt

Kitty in a costume for good measure, it is Halloween after all!
What perfume will you be wearing to celebrate Halloween today? I'm heavily entranced by Mandy Aftel's latest perfume solid, Oud Luban (review coming soon).

Love those Goth photos of you, Carrie. The grainy look of the concrete blocks in the background, against that beautiful wrought iron gate, makes those two photos look like film stills from an old movie. Perfect with your ensemble. Happy Halloween!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Suzanne! I've always loved those pictures. All the clothes and the hat were vintage, and the photographer was a good friend of mine, very talented. Happy Halloween to you as well!
ReplyDeleteLove those photos, Carrie. You look lovely! Also, that's a quality tat!
ReplyDeleteYou have Oud Luban?? Lucky gal! Indieperfume's review made me swoon. I can't wait to read yours!
Have a happy halloween!
Great pictures! (is this kitty picture supposed to be the scariest out of all or is it just me?)
ReplyDeleteHappy Halloween!

What beautiful photos/memories!
ReplyDeleteKitty is adorable. :)
Forgive me if this is out of place: Crap, you're hot. Nothing better than a girl in black with a sweet tattoo!
ReplyDeleteThere is also a lot of evil in that cat's eyes LOL! I got a good laugh out of that pic! xo
I don't 'do' Halloween, but I really enjoyed these photos, especially the feline one. She looks like she's auditioning for a stage revival of Disney's Cinderella, or something.
ReplyDeleteWhat perfume was I wearing yesterday? Nothing too scary: Olivier Durbano's Amethyst.
Wow, that's some tattoo! Really artful -- I love portraits.
ReplyDeleteMy Hallowe'en was filled with L'Huere Bleue, vintage parfum, 2 mls from a split. OMG, what we are missing in this era.
The kitty looks sooo bitter. Love it. And that may be the most original tattoo I've ever seen. (in a good way!)
ReplyDeleteJoannr- thanks babe! Yes I'm lucky enough to have a sample of Oud Luban, and it's safe to say I'll be buying a full size as soon as I can.
ReplyDeleteThank you Undina and Liz, hope you had great Halloweens.
ReplyDeleteJoey- why thank you! I kinda miss my short hair, but the upkeep was too expensive. Now it's all the way down my back, and that's fun too. Tangles easily, but LOW maintenance. xoxo
ReplyDeleteMr P- I'm glad you enjoyed the photos. I can never prevent myself from cracking up at the cat picture. There's a whole book of them that I must have.
ReplyDeleteOlfacta- thank you! My C. Lee tattoo is my pride and joy, I'm glad you can appreciate it. And wearing L'HB on Halloween makes so much sense to me, especially vintage. xox
ReplyDeleteapb- thank you for the compliment! That kitty is TOO much. I wish she were mine.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that tatt! One of the best I've ever seen. I was a proto-Goth in the 80s, and would have gotten that one on my back in a second!

Dear Carrie,
ReplyDeleteWhat fun pictures and I loved the "Edwina Allen Poe" caption!! I did not think to wear a special scent on Halloween, but if I had it might have been "Dessert Absinthe" by The Morbid The Merrier. I do not usually care for "food" scents for myself, but that one is really addicting and yummy, with just enough menace from the absinthe! I have to tell you that I just love your writing style!
Also, thank you so very much for your visit to The Tearoom and your lovely comment about black cats!!
Wishing you a wonderful rest of your evening,
Betty
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your sweet words, Betty!
